Photo of a printed book page with a pink highlighter mark at the top edge. The text reads: "My romances were all pleasant and brief. I cannot say why brief, except to state the obvious: that I do not have much in me that might encourage a woman to make long habit of my company. Simmon, for example, had a great deal to offer. He was a gemstone in the rough. A huge, faint, tentacled winged creature resembling Cthulhu is drawn in the sky above the hills, with the sun glowing beneath it. A few cars travel the road. A watermark in the corner reads "Andrey Nazarov". A screenshot of interview text, an exchange between an interviewer (O) and Pratchett (P). O asks why he writes fantasy, calling it a ghettoized genre. Pratchett answers that fantasy is the ur-literature, from Gilgamesh to Beowulf, ends by saying "That was a bloody good answer, though I say it myself."
