Acrylic painting of a headless-looking figure in a red shirt and blue jeans sitting cross-legged, reading a large black book with yellow edges. A pale beam of light falls from above, and a black ink-like skull creature with white eyes drops into it. Red letters at the bottom read: AHHHH A white sidewalk letterboard sign on a black stand, between two wooden planters, with black letters reading: "SCARED IS WHAT YOU ARE FEELING. BRAVE IS WHAT YOU ARE DOING." A red heart sits below the text. A street and a parked blue car are behind it. Screenshot of a tweet by Matthew, @CrowsFault, with a profile photo of a gray cat. Text: "People speak of hope as if it is this delicate, ephemeral thing made of whispers and spider's webs. It's not. Hope has dirt on her face, blood on her knuckles, the grit of the cobblestones in her hair, and just spat out a tooth as she rises for another go." Below: "Traduzir Tweet", "16:21 · 10 mar. 22 · Twitter Web App". Black serif text on a white background reads: "Queer people don't grow up as ourselves, we grow up playing a version of ourselves that sacrifices authenticity to minimise humiliation & prejudice. The massive task of our adult lives is to unpick which parts of ourselves are truly us & which parts we've created to protect us." —ALEXANDER LEON A yellow sticky note stuck to a dark surface, handwritten in black marker: "THE WORLD IS ON FIRE." A horizontal line follows, then: "IT'S OKAY TO FIND JOY IN DUMB THINGS" Photo of a book page with a poem. Italic header: "Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer". Title: "HOPE". Poem: "Hope has holes in its pockets. It leaves little crumb trails so that we, when anxious, can follow it. Hope's secret: it doesn't know the destination—it knows only that all roads begin with one foot in front of the other."
