This depicts the Turchin Cycle, which follows a theory of history called Structural-Demographic Theory. It posits that multi-generational cycles of history repeat themselves over time, stemming from underlying structural socio-economic conditions and destabilizing events. According to SDT, major social upheavals from civil disorders to revolutions can be - to some degree - predicted by analyzing these underlying factors.
