Famously mis-attributed to the "quit game" screen of the Nintendo Wii, this actually originated with the epigraph of the T. Michael Martin novel The End Games. The text from the Wii quit screen, which Martin adapted, is the somewhat-less-poetic "Anything not saved will be lost."
